{"id":8537,"date":"2026-04-10T10:41:27","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T14:41:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dahlman.online\/?p=8537"},"modified":"2026-04-10T10:41:36","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T14:41:36","slug":"protest-too-much","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dahlman.online\/index.php\/2026\/04\/10\/protest-too-much\/","title":{"rendered":"Protest Too Much"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;The lady doth protest too much, methinks&#8221;&nbsp;&nbsp;&#8211; Hamlet (Act 3, Scene 2)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FLOTUS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yesterday, the First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) Melania Trump, delivered a \u201cstern\u201d message to America.\u00a0\u00a0She firmly denied that she was in any way involved with Jeffrey Epstein.\u00a0\u00a0She claimed that she was aware of him and they spent a lot of time in the same social circles in both New York City and in Palm Beach.\u00a0\u00a0But that was it, just over-lapping social circles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yesterday, the President of the United States (POTUS) Donald Trump, said he didn\u2019t know his wife was planning on speaking publicly.\u00a0\u00a0There was no statement from POTUS, supporting FLOTUS.\u00a0\u00a0Instead of \u201cstanding\u201d by his wife, Trump used his universal excuse to the world:\u00a0\u00a0\u201cI didn\u2019t know\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So why did Melania feel the need to address the Nation?\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s all about longtime Trump nemesis, author Michael Wolff.\u00a0\u00a0He\u2019s the guy who wrote the \u201ctell-all\u201d near the beginning of Trump\u2019s first term,\u00a0<em>Fire and Fury<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0I remember reading it in 2018, lounging on the beach in Florida when Jenn and I were doing our \u201csnowbird\u201d thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Getting Ahead<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wolff is a compelling author, but isn\u2019t particularly wedded to the facts.\u00a0\u00a0The story comes first.\u00a0\u00a0And the story he\u2019s working on right now, is about Jeffrey Epstein.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s rumored that Wolff will claim Epstein \u201chad\u201d (in the Biblical sense) Melania first, then introduced her to Donald.\u00a0\u00a0Melania threatened to sue Wolff for a billion dollars.\u00a0\u00a0Wolff counter-sued. He claimed that she was  denying his First Amendment rights, using the courts and huge numbers to suppress publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Melania is trying to \u201cget ahead\u201d of the story, before Wolff publishes.\u00a0\u00a0Of course what she really did is guarantee Wolff\u2019s book pre-publication sales will put him on the<em>\u00a0New York Times<\/em>\u00a0bestseller list.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Still, it\u2019s an astute political move, claiming the high ground before Wolff gets the lower fields plowed.\u00a0\u00a0At least that\u2019s good for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But it\u2019s really NOT good for Donald Trump, who has, amazingly, managed to temporarily dampen the EPSTEIN FILES furor.\u00a0 It took a war, thousands of civilians dead, Billions of dollars spent, and shutting down 20% of the world\u2019s oil supply to change the subject.\u00a0\u00a0Oh and that whole thing about wiping the Persian civilization out, \u201cSending them back to the Stone Age\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EXTRA-EXTRA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Melania brought it all back, right to the front of the line (and the lead in the newscasts).\u00a0\u00a0That can\u2019t be what her \u201cDonald\u201d wanted.\u00a0\u00a0And on top of that; Melania called on Congress to take the victims, place them under oath, and make them testify to the world.\u00a0\u00a0In other words, force the victims to be re-victimized.\u00a0\u00a0She said nothing about the perpetrators of the Epstein bacchanals, the now older white men who used their wealth and influence to get what they wanted from Epstein:\u00a0\u00a0sexual pleasure with under-aged girls (and even\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.heraldmailmedia.com\/story\/news\/2021\/04\/21\/jeffrey-epstein-forced-intern-into-sex-new-lawsuit-claims\/43730603\/\">under-aged boys<\/a>).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here comes another round of victim statements, more calls from House Democrats for investigation and depositions, and probably longer Congressional recesses so that Republicans can \u201ckeep a lid on it\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0Sure, bombs and death deflected from the EPSTEIN FILES for a while.\u00a0\u00a0But over two million documents are still hidden from public view.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FILES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Todd Blanche is the Trump attorney who interviewed Ghislaine Maxwell.  She told him that the Trump\u2019s weren\u2019t involved.
