But the phone conversation that we will never know is the one between Trump and his \u201cTV Lawyer\u201d Rudy Giuliani.\u00a0\u00a0It must have been remarkable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Trump &#8211;&nbsp;<em>Rudy, I was trying to get Zelensky to move on Biden.&nbsp;&nbsp;I told him he might get his money if he\u2019d start investigating<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Giuliani &#8211;&nbsp;<em>Mr. President, that was my job, please tell me you didn\u2019t do that on an open phone call?<\/em><\/li><li>Trump &#8211;&nbsp;<em>Rudy, do you think that might be a problem?<\/em><\/li><li>Giuliani &#8211;&nbsp;<em>Oh, Mr. President, it\u2019s going to come out.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An Offer You Can\u2019t Refuse<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The President of the United States was, as Don Corleone of\u00a0<em>The Godfather<\/em>\u00a0would say; \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SeldwfOwuL8\">making an offer he can\u2019t refuse<\/a>.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In the movie, the offer was made with a horse head in bed.\u00a0\u00a0For the Ukraine, if they didn\u2019t investigate Trump\u2019s rival,  then no foreign aid money.\u00a0\u00a0If they began an investigation begins, Ukraine gets even more aid than they asked for.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is that illegal?\u00a0\u00a0Sure, and it\u2019s not the  vague \u201cemoluments\u201d clause of profiting from a foreign state.\u00a0\u00a0He asked a foreign power to intervene and interfere in America\u2019s election; something he announced was \u201cOK\u201d by him, even if it violates Federal Statutes.\u00a0\u00a0And he spent the money of the United States\u2019 government as if he owns it, using it to leverage the intervention.\u00a0\u00a0Whether he \u201cknew\u201d he was asking Russia for help in 2016 or not, a question that the Mueller Report couldn\u2019t answer; he sure knows he did it this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Crazy Grandpa<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rudy Giuliani was the tough Federal Prosecutor, then the firm and courageous Mayor of New York during 9-11.&nbsp;&nbsp;After another divorce and a failed Presidential campaign, Giuliani has developed a whole new \u201cpersona.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;He is now the \u201ccrazy grandpa\u201d on CNN, contradicting himself and seeming to blurt out \u201cprivileged\u201d information about his sole client, Donald Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You know, he ain\u2019t crazy.\u00a0\u00a0When he blurted out that Trump paid \u201chush money\u201d to keep his affair with Stormy Daniels out of the papers, everyone went \u201cnuts.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Giuliani confessed that his client was guilty, live on CNN!!\u00a0\u00a0But what he really did was get the \u201cbad news\u201d out, and begin the process of justifying how it was \u201cOK\u201d to pay off a porn star.\u00a0\u00a0The fact that Trump did it to hoodwink the American people and his wife and then later lied about it: well that might be unsavory, but certainly not illegal, according to Rudy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lying to the press and public is an integral part of the Trump operation.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ask Corey Lewandowski:&nbsp;&nbsp;last week he testified in the Senate that he felt no obligation to tell the truth to the media or the American people.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So Rudy going on CNN, getting \u201cconfused,\u201d and telling Chris Cuomo that the President did pressure Zelensky to investigate Biden wasn\u2019t a \u201ccrazy grandpa\u201d error.&nbsp;&nbsp;Just like the Porn Star scenario, Giuliani was getting the bad news out.&nbsp;&nbsp;But he did more than that.&nbsp;&nbsp;He began to change the story.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lock Him Up<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rudy doesn\u2019t really want this to be about the President of the United States muscling a foreign leader to help in his US campaign.\u00a0\u00a0The Trump narrative is to hamstring Joe Biden with the same smear of corruption that covers the President himself.\u00a0\u00a0Rudy took the \u201choly\u201d position that the President was helping Ukraine ferret out Biden\u2019s crimes; they just needed a little financial incentive to do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And so the message went out to the faithful Republican leaders.\u00a0\u00a0Make this all about Biden, his son, and the made-up corrupt acts of the Obama Administration. Senator John Cornyn of Texas, running for reelection, has already called for a Biden investigation.\u00a0\u00a0More will chime in today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;They want to make this a whole new \u201clock her up\u201d message.&nbsp;&nbsp;Hillary was smeared with all sorts of untrue accusations: in the Republican-Fox News universe, the facts really don\u2019t matter.&nbsp;&nbsp;Now Giuliani and Trump are laying the same groundwork for the 2020 campaign and Joe Biden.&nbsp;&nbsp;\u201cLOCK HIM UP, LOCK HIM UP:\u201d we can hear the chants even now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Silence of the Good<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And where are the \u201cgood\u201d Republicans in the House and Senate.&nbsp;&nbsp;You can hear them in their silence.&nbsp;&nbsp;Adam Schiff, Democratic Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee is trying to protect the oversight power of the Congress.&nbsp;&nbsp;Richard Burr, the Republican Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, must have gone fishing in the mountains of North Carolina:&nbsp;&nbsp;we\u2019ve heard not a word from him.&nbsp;&nbsp;He must have taken most of the other Republican Senators with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the fact that this smears Trump even more really doesn\u2019t matter.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mud on mud?
